Leonard Cohen’s second collection of poetry, The Spice-Box of Earth,  was published in 1961. Illustrated throughout by Frank Newfeld (cite other works), this book is not only to be admired for its contents, but for the design of the book itself.  This was Cohen’s first book to published by McClelland and Stewart, Canada's legendary publishing company. This collection is in good condition. The text is tight and clean, with no loose pages, blemishes or notation. The dust jacket has some damage and light shelf wear (2.5cm tear to front, top-corner of the jacket), which is pictured below.
